I paid for a 3-year family membership upfront — in full — over two years ago. Now, with six months left on my contract, UFC Gym is telling me one of my kids isn't covered under the plan and would need to pay $800 to attend classes. After 2.5 years of no communication about any issue with our membership, this is the first we're hearing of it. If there was ever a question about who was included, it should have been addressed at the time of purchase — not two and a half years later.
On top of that, I paused the membership twice while we were out of the country for a month each time. I went through their process, was told it was handled, and now they have zero record of either pause.
I prepaid in good faith for my whole family. The billing and administrative side here is a mess, and families considering a long-term membership should be very careful. Get every name, every detail, and every confirmation in writing — because they won't have it on their end.

I have been going to different UFC Gyms on and off since 2013. Membership dues were (and remain) reasonable compared to like facilities I shopped.
In fact, I moved from Mission Viejo to Costa Mesa in part to be near UFC Gym Costa Mesa. When that location closed last December, I started going to Huntington Beach where I have been very happy since. I lost around 20 pounds and look/feel much better physically/mentally as a result of going regularly to Costa Mesa and now Huntington Beach.
They offer persuasive referral incentives if the new member signs up in gym or over phone. I invite you to inform them that Todd Berman referred you and/or seek me out to personally welcome you.
The coaches and onsite staff are personable, professional, and helpful about proper form, administrative matters, and so on.
I particularly like the variety of coaches, each of whom brings their own style to class. They are available for personal training but not pushy about it, which I appreciate. I especially recommend Spencer, Gary, Damian, Erica, Jake, Matthew, Jack, Sebastian, Shohei, Jeff M., Jim, Richie, David, and Katelyn; some of whom came over after Costa Mesa closed.
I recognize some great staff from Costa Mesa, such as Jadell, Melanie, and Sam; and have enjoyed meeting new ones like Anthony and Nancy; to name just a few.
I have also had productive communication with senior company executives such as Adam and Shawna, for which I am highly appreciative.
I am hoping to train here as a group with other members and coaches/staff to compete together in the 2026 Angel Stadium Spartan Stadion Event this September.
Among their many offerings, I consistently take the kickboxing and/or boxing conditioning classes as well as Daily Ultimate Training (“DUT”). The former includes strike/defensive combinations on heavy bags mixed with body weight movements. The latter is a high-intensity interval training boot camp. It includes body weight, kettle bell, dumbbell, medicine ball, plates and/or cardiovascular machine movements.
All of the above classes are about an hour each, offered at a variety of times throughout weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings; and weekend mornings. The coaches model the strikes and/or movements. I have seen a broad spectrum of fitness levels among students of all genders/ages who work at their own fitness level. There is usually a good turnout of friendly familiar and unfamiliar faces.
Water access is convenient to stay hydrated. Guest policies are fair if you bring a friend, which I have done several times in recent months alone.
Front desk check-in is quick. There are multiple convenient class registration options. They fully validate parking without my having to think about limiting my time due to related factors.
The equipment and facility overall is well-maintained, clean, and adorned with motivational quotes/images. I enjoy the sauna and showers, which some like facilities do not have. The lockers are straightforward to use with my lock.
This all lends itself to a positive, encouraging, respectful, yet focused and hardworking atmosphere that I intend to remain a part of through the foreseeable future.
In fact, although my current membership expires this August, because I need to move sooner, I already started inquiring about membership renewal terms as I am considering proximity to this gym among pros/cons of prospective new living spaces.
Keep up the great work UFC Gym Huntington Beach!
