  EDITED: The customer service at the Fresno location sucks. When doing business with the Fresno CycleBar, read the fine print and ask lots of questions before signing anything because they will hold you to your contract. The sign in the front window says first-time riders are free. The September '26 Member special is to bring one guest to class for FREE. A friend signed me up to go. A representative from CycleBar called and spoke to me on the phone the night before the class to confirm. They told me they'd have everything I needed, including shoes. There was no mention of a fee for the shoes. When I got there, after I was ready to go get on my bike, she asked me for $4 to rent shoes. $4 is a reasonable price to rent shoes, but as a matter of principle, I told her no one told me that I needed to pay for shoes and asked if she could waive the fee. The girl said, "As a front desk person, I don't have that power." I asked for a manager. She said there isn't one here. I have never been to a cycle bar or cycling gym before. I would think that if you're offering a free class to a newbie, the class and everything needed would be free for that one class. When I first walked in, everybody was nice and welcoming, and I was excited to be there. It's stupid that something as simple as a $4 shoe rental fee on my first visit ruined that experience and I didn't get to ride. My friend that invited me signed up under a 1-month promotion, feels tricked into paying for 3 months of membership at a much higher rate than she bargained for. That'll be her story to telling another review. NOTE: The above review was updated to remove the term "Sketchy Tactics" MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE to my original post: Thank you for responding to my Google review. I appreciate that you take customer feedback seriously. I also believe it is important that reviews accurately represent what occurred, thus I am replying here. I feel that it is accurate to state that I was prevented from riding because of the $4 charge. I asked if the fee could be waived. And was told "no". I asked if I could ride with my running shoes and I was told that I needed to have clip-in shoes. I took that as meaning that if I didn't rent shoes or have clip-in shoes, I couldn't ride. Am I wrong? Did I misunderstand? Could I have ridden with my tennies? In response to : “Our manager has also both called and emailed you directly in an effort to address your concern,...” After seeing your response to my Google review, I searched my email inbox. Your manager did in fact send me an email at noon the day after this occurred. She has yet to call me. I will respond to her email after posting this review response. In regards to my friends' membership. She absolutely feels like it was a bait and switch when she signed up for the promotion. Yes, it is her fault for not reading the fine print, but if your customers are feeling like they have been suckered, there is something wrong.

  I’ve never been the “jump out of bed to work out” type, but CycleBar completely changed the game for me. The instructors are the reason I keep showing up — they’re positive, motivating, and push you without ever making you feel out of place. The classes are tough in the best way, and the energy is unmatched. Just hit my 50th ride, and honestly, starting was the hardest part. If you’re looking to get more active and support an amazing local business, give this place a try. You might surprise yourself.

  The teachers are awesome and the facility is immaculate. I'm usually a runner but love mixing it up with a great workout with the cycle bar Fresno crew.

  I have had great experiences with each instructor I've taken a class with! The music is always so good & the CycleStats at the end of the workout are great!

  This place is super clean, hip, and positive. I am usually scared to get involved in these things because I get intimidated, but I felt welcome and at-ease immediately. Good workouts, awesome playlists, nice facilities. Totally recommend for those who hate cardio but know they need it anyway 💪🏻
