This studio is a gem, as long as you select the right instructors. A couple standouts: Darielle is amazing--she adapts classes seamlessly to accommodate participants' needs and experience. Even in the level 1 classes, I always feel like a get a great workout. She's thoughtful, positive and has a great sense of humor. I am disabled, and use pilates to get my PT in a more pleasant setting, and I always feel included. It's been wonderful to have her teaching more often at my home studio! Camille is also terrific--funny, down to earth, thoughtful and gives great modifications when needed. Lara is also fabulous--helpful w adaptations, and has a great sense of humor. Geraldine is another fantastic instructor--attentive, kind, and gives great feedback. Codie is energetic, kind, funny and makes exercise enjoyable due to her bubbly personality. Valerie is wonderful too--energetic, thoughtful, and so strong! I hope I'm not missing anyone! My only negative feedback is to avoid Julie's classes, and unfortunately she teaches several in Fair Oaks. She's rude, arrogant, and the most rigid person I've encountered in years. Her confidence in anatomy is misplaced, as she corrected physicians and physical therapists arrogantly to argue why a participant should be able to do a certain movement. I found that particularly contradictory to the typically empowering positive atmosphere from other instructors. But don't let her turn you away from the studio--she's the only bad apple, and you can just skip her. With several nearby studios, she's easy to avoid.

Very disappointing experience with Club Pilates. I had two classes with Julie. She could clearly see I was a beginner and struggling, but she showed very little interest in helping. She rarely corrected my form, offered almost no guidance, and seemed completely uninvolved. I’ve taken classes at other studios before, so I know what a supportive instructor should be like. Unfortunately, Julie also came across as rude and unwelcoming. My friend had a negative experience with her as well and no longer wants to attend, and since we planned to go together, I don’t want to continue either. On top of that, I was told at the front desk that my membership would be frozen for the entire month of June while I was away, and that no payment would be charged. Despite that, I was charged anyway—and not the agreed $150, but $199. This was very disappointing and feels misleading. I want to cancel my membership and receive a refund for this charge, since I wasn’t using the studio and had specifically arranged to freeze my account in advance.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience with Julie today. Her corrections felt rude and unnecessarily harsh, which made me feel very uncomfortable during class. Instead of feeling supported, I felt criticized. Because of this experience, I no longer want to attend classes with her and am even reconsidering my membership at this studio.
