  I ABSOLUTELY did not want any more hearing aids after have had two pairs previously. I can't stand the feedback from them, and other issues that tend to come with them. I was just done! Thankfully I visited a different Audiologist in Los Angeles who convinced me that I truly needed to give this another shot, especially after the pandemic. Understanding that my hearing was becoming more and mor distorted, I agreed! Meanwhile, I signed up for AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE because eventually; I'll be completely deaf. That was my main and ONLY focus. I was referred to Connect Hearing by my new Audiologist of UCLA at 200 Medical Plaza. Since I had only recently moved to Los Angeles and am a Valley Girl, I decided upon the Encino office. Eventually, I made my appointment and went to see Dan. He was very calm and accommodating, even though I kept insisting that I didn't want the hearing aids. He measured my ears anyway and took molds as he continued to explain why they would be helpful to me, as he assured me that things have changed with new technology. I thanked him for his time and he informed me that they'd be contacting me in approximately a week or two to pick them up. Yeah whatever I thought! Finally, I got the call to go and pick them up. Dan sat me down and explained to me nice and loud enough for me to hear how to use them. Mine were actually charging in the case as he was using some similar to mine. That in itself was totally different from the previous two pair that I had in the past. This means no more changing hearing aid batteries, nor buying them for that matter! Eventually, Dan stood up and carefully placed each device in my ear and asked if I could hear him. Immediately, I got choked up and emotional as tears rolled down my cheeks. At that moment I remembered the ONLY thing that I did like about having hearing aids. I could hear how loud I talked while wearing them and I would automatically speak lower because of them. I was ecstatic!! I heard him and heard him very nicely. Also, the fit was my very first custom fit because of the molds he used on my first visit. There's not as much feedback because they're a custom fit! Next Dan showed me how to install an App on my cell phone to control the volume, more tears!!!! Finally, he called me on my cell phone and he spoke to me right there on his office. Dan the Man, absolutely gave me my life back and I am so very happy and grateful to him and his staff!!!! I no longer have to reach for my ear buds daily and make sure that they're changed before leaving the house. My new hearing aids are better than ear buds and I can control the volume as well as the clarity on my own cell phone. I regularly use search google maps while I'm driving in order to get directions. Now my customized Ear Bugs (HEARING AIDS) from Dan the Man, does exactly what ear bugs did before but better! Dan also said that he can show me how to download the App on my regular laptop that I use daily. I haven't done that yet, however I am FOREVER grateful for him and his team!!! The care and concern for me to feel as normal as possible with my hearing disability is UNMATCHED!! Thank you ENCINO CONNECT HEARING I LOVE & APPRECIATE YOU!! If you're in DOUBT at all, please don't be. Go see Dan the Man, you won't regret it!!!
