I haven’t been back to a yoga studio since mine closed during Covid. Costa Mesa Core Power Yoga is a great studio. I took Cameron B’s sculpt class, it was great!

This studio was not a pleasant experience for me. My fiancé attended the 6:30 p.m. class with Adrianna, and afterward she approached him while he was alone and started a personal conversation, asking if he enjoyed her class and discussing how she stopped teaching in Newport because it was too far for her. While this may have seemed harmless, it felt uncomfortable and crossed a professional boundary from my perspective. Instructors should be mindful of interactions with clients and maintain a level of professionalism that makes everyone feel respected and comfortable.

I’ve always loved the CorePower brand and have practiced at many of their studios, but this location has been consistently disappointing. The instructors are talented and the facilities are nice.
The customer service was particularly poor. I arrived right at 2:00 pm for a 2:00 class and found the doors locked. When I spoke with the studio manager, Katharine, she refused to let me in and repeated what felt like a scripted response. The interaction lasted several minutes and felt unnecessarily rigid, rather than focused on finding a reasonable solution.
What stood out was the inconsistency: in other classes, during the cool-down, the quietest, most restorative portion of class. Large groups have been allowed to exit noisily, including slamming doors, without any guidance to maintain a quiet environment.
If the goal is to minimize disruption and preserve a calm atmosphere, that expectation should be applied consistently throughout the entire class, particularly during the final savasana.
I’m unclear what is driving the culture at this studio, but interactions at the front desk often feel unwelcoming, which detracts from the overall experience. A yoga environment should be supportive, inclusive, and community-oriented, not dismissive.
Overall, the experience has been consistently disappointing, and I would not recommend this studio.

This studio is great. The 1 star reviews from people who showed up late is more of a reflection on those people than the business. Who wants these people barging in after class has started and asking for people to move?
