  I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this was incredibly disappointing. I was trying to switch from America’s Best after a bad experience, so I called LensCrafters beforehand and specifically asked if I could get an exam and contacts for under $100 because money is extremely tight right now. I was told “most likely.” Instead, I walked out $160 poorer with the same -6.5 prescription I’ve had for 20+ years and one trial pair of contacts. That’s it. Meanwhile, America’s Best offered an exam plus two boxes for about $179. The doctor at the South Coast Plaza Macy’s location was absolutely fantastic. My issue is that I called specifically to confirm affordability and was given a completely different impression. Had I been given accurate pricing, I never would have gone. Great doctor. Terrible experience otherwise. I won’t be back.

  I’ve been coming here for two years, and it's my favorite LensCrafters location because of the people. Dr. Chi Chang is very kind, patient, and takes his time to answer all questions. He is truly a great human being! The whole office has a wonderful community vibe—I even got to witness them celebrating their receptionist, Austin, getting into graduate school for optometry. Such a sweet, supportive team! Congrats again future Dr. Austin!
