Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I have had so many good experiences at this Pharmacy. It reminds me of the neighborhood pharmacy of my childhood. My insurance coverage is very poor for a number of my prescriptions and I have been very appreciative of the work-arounds the pharmacists and staff have done with coupons and other approaches so that I can get my prescriptions at a greatly reduced price from what my insurance would cover.

I am a chronically ill patient and every month
it is like pulling teeth for this pharmacy to give me my medication. They lie and change days supply and they change the dates my medication is due so I can’t have it, causing me horrible anxiety.
And it is very hard to get all the way to this pharmacy to get my medication twice a month.
** see photo of what they do, my prescription is 30 days; they changed it to 500 days supply is that legal?
4/25/24 Update- Today the pharmacist told me in the she was too busy to fill my prescription and to call later. Today is day 31, she was so mean she made me cry. The pharmacist should be fired and the pharmacy shut down.

Cassie is the worst! She was slow as molasses, offered no apology for how long she kept me and other customers waiting and was unable to address my concern. Generally speaking, she was not helpful or accommodating, seemed spacey and to not care at all about customer satisfaction. There was limited eye contact and no thank you at the end of the transaction. One more experience like this and I'll be switching pharmacies.

For several years we used another local "name brand" pharmacy, but changed to Ralph's for two reasons.
First, the Medicare Part D website showed that the overall cost for our prescriptions was significantly lower at Ralph's than for the other pharmacies in the area, and our experience has proven this to be true.
Second, after using Ralph's for a time, we found the lines to be far shorter than other pharmacies in town. In fact, we often do not have to wait at all.
As a bonus, we have had had our flu shots and other inoculations at Ralph's for several years, and have found their pharmacists to be among the best that we have experienced.
I would recommend Ralph's Pharmacy to family and friends without reservation.
