  I was nervous coming in after reading all the bad reviews, but I ended up having a very positive experience. I really appreciated Dr. Tran’s approach. Another clinic suggested pulling my wisdom tooth, but he chose a less invasive option and simply trimmed the gum around it. He was careful throughout the procedure and always stopped when I felt any discomfort. His office and equipment may feel a bit outdated, and he doesn’t have the overly cheerful California bedside manner some people expect. As a European, I actually found his straightforward approach refreshing. He was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. I’m glad I came.

  I called to make an appointment for a front chipped tooth. He wanted a crown. I said nope. He took x-rays, to make the bill expensive. He upsold everything. Said he didn’t have time to call medical for same day appointment. Wanted me to pay cash. I told him ucsf dental clinic did that at end of treatment. It only took 10 mins. He said an hour- he was adamant about me paying cash - $1200 for crown, $200 for filling. What a jerk! He said “ we’ll go back to UCSF if you don’t want to pay! I moved to Berkeley, the secretary told me he accepted Medi-cal. Why didn’t she confirm with medical-cal before my ap. I told her I wanted my frintttooth filled. That’s it. Doctor Tran is awful. He’s running some shady business

  He red flag me to never come back to his dentist office again told me find someone else because of missed appointments I know nothing about. Poor service I swear and he has a attitude to

  Had Dr. Tran for a number of years since I was a teen, always felt like I was given good care and treatment despite my insurance and everyone was always friendly and was able to get everything done here in the past. Last time I went was 2018.
