I never leave negative reviews, but after everything I’ve been through since February, I feel obligated to share my experience so others know what to expect. What should have been a simple process of getting prescription glasses turned into months of frustration, stress, and disappointment. Since February, I have made well over 10 trips to the clinic because of repeated mistakes. Every time I thought an issue had been resolved, another one surfaced. One of the first problems involved the blue-light coating. I specifically requested a blue-reflective coating. When I returned because the lenses clearly reflected green, the manager, Shannon, held the lenses in her hands and insisted that the green coating was actually the blue coating I had requested. I left feeling like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Later, another employee admitted the lenses did, in fact, have the green coating, and they had to be remade. During another remake, an assistant told me I had received an upgraded version of the coating, while Shannon later insisted nothing had changed and it was exactly the same product. Eventually, Shannon called to admit that another mistake had been made and personally oversaw another remake. Unfortunately, that final pair was the worst of all. From the moment I put them on, my left lens felt wrong. I had to tilt my head to see clearly, and my vision became blurry and hazy, especially indoors. I repeatedly explained that something wasn’t right, but instead of thoroughly investigating the problem, I was repeatedly told to “just keep wearing them” because my eyes needed time to adjust. Shannon even told me, “I’ve been wearing glasses since I was a child. I don’t know how they’re supposed to feel.” I trusted that advice for over a month. Instead of improving, I developed constant headaches, pain around my left eye, significant eye strain, and my left eye frequently became bloodshot. I even had to take pain medication hoping things would eventually improve. They never did. The emotional toll was just as difficult. I made trip after trip back to the clinic, yet no one—including the manager who dispensed my glasses—ever sat down with me to carefully evaluate what I was experiencing or verify that everything was actually correct before sending me home again. I was simply told to keep trying them. There were days I sat in my car after appointments and cried because I felt so overwhelmed and defeated. I also became anxious about returning because of Shannon’s attitude and worried my concerns would once again be dismissed. After more than ten visits, countless hours driving back and forth, and months of trying to make these glasses work, I finally gave up. The expensive glasses I paid for are now sitting unused in a drawer while I continue struggling with poor vision. When I contacted the clinic one last time, I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Prescription glasses are something people depend on every day. Patients deserve honesty, clear communication, careful attention to detail, and to have their concerns taken seriously. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. I cannot recommend this clinic and have to wait a whole year to try and get new glasses at another clinic with my insurance. Very upsetting.

My initial glasses took over 30 days and were made with an incorrect prescription, which the office acknowledged. A replacement pair was provided, but I noted at pickup that the prescription still did not feel correct. I was advised to wear them for 30 days and told there would be a follow-up. After that period, the prescription still did not work. I later received a call that I initially believed was the expected follow-up; however, it instead was a push for purchasing additional frames. During that call, I reiterated that my prescription issue had not been resolved and that I still needed assistance. The call was disconnected, and I did not receive a return call. Even allowing for the possibility of an unintentional disconnection, I would have expected a prompt call back, particularly since the call was initiated by the office. When a provider prioritizes additional purchases over correcting an existing prescription issue, it undermines trust, particularly given that vision care directly impacts daily functioning and safety. Based on this experience, I did not feel there was ownership of resolving the original issue. I would have preferred proactive follow-up and a focus on correcting the prescription before any additional sales outreach was initiated.
