The front desk is very accommodating and worked with me to get my appointment since I don’t live in Tucson. Dr Jesse is extremely knowledgeable and personable and I’m grateful for the care and attention I receive. Shannon, my hygienist, is an educator and lovely. I went to this office and paid for X-rays and a cleaning. After taking the X-rays and examining me, I was told I had a few cavities as well as periodontal disease. The dentist compared periodontal disease to “diabetes of the mouth,” which was concerning to hear.
They would not perform the regular cleaning I had scheduled and instead recommended multiple appointments and additional treatment. The treatment plan I was given totaled around $5,000, so I decided not to proceed and left after having only the X-rays done.
I went to another dentist for a second opinion. I had recently had a baby, and the second dentist explained that I had minor gum inflammation/irritation that can occur during and after pregnancy. They told me they did not find that I had periodontal disease and were able to perform a regular cleaning without any issues.
I’m very glad I chose to get a second opinion before proceeding with the recommended treatment. This was my personal experience, and based on it, I would not recommend this office.
