Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Staff is unaccomodating, and short with costumers. My husband was in line PRIOR TO CLOSING, and they refused to serve him. This Fry's has always had great customer service EXCEPT for the pharmacy.

The low stars does not surprise me. I'm sure if they could do zero Stars that's exactly what they would have. Not only are the pharmacy techs ridiculously rude but they're constantly running a day behind. Doesn't matter if you've waited hours or a whole day they will still not have it ready on time They are constantly running out of the medication as well. You can't even get a smile from these people, a thank you or you're welcome. Don't even bother with the drive-thru you will be ignored in hopes that you'll just go away. I don't understand if you don't want to help people then you need to go find another job. You are literally getting paid to be kind to people you are in customer service. No one's paying me but I'm giving more common courtesy, respect and manners. I think the boss needs to remind everybody just exactly what their job description is, specially if you're working with people and medicine. You don't know who's coming in there and not feeling well, and then they got to deal with your sour faces and bad attitude. Several people have warned me about this fries in the past. I thought I'd suck it up because it's convenient it's in the shopping center that I work at. But after today I can't take it anymore. There's only so much disrespect customer can take.

When the doctor prescribed one way yet insurance doesn't want to fill for over a month- never got a call telling me this, no help with a solution (like I just pay without insurance seeing as how Dr prescribed it), and just a flip answer like too bad, and even if it was resolved it probably wasn't available like my other Rxs I try to fill there. Safe your time, go somewhere they actually help you.

These people work so hard but they are severely understaffed ~ hence long wait times. Long wait times equals unhappy customers. Considering this, I think they do a pretty darn good job.
