  There I was having flashbacks from Afghanistan. When they made the questionable decision to let me be house leader, which basically meant I became the unofficial CEO of “Did You Do Your Chores and Why Not.” “HURRY UP LETS GO” The daily structure? Aggressive. The accountability? Relentless. The staff? Suspiciously good at knowing when you’re full of it. It’s like they’ve seen this before or something.Somewhere between getting called out, laughing at ourselves, and realizing we can’t outsmart basic honesty, things actually started working. Annoying, but effective. I came in thinking I was already squared away. I left realizing I was… slightly less of a disaster, but now with tools, habits, and a solid crew of people who watched me pretend I had it together until I actually did. Highly recommend if you enjoy personal growth. 10/10. Would reluctantly become a better human again.

  My experience here was exactly what I had been missing at prior treatments. The faith and 12 step focus, among other things, is what really changed my perspective on life and helped me realize that I have a purpose in life to help others and live in gods image.

  If you are broken by alcoholism and/or addiction and truly ready for change, I couldn't recommend a better treatment center that Holdfast Recovery. My wife and I looked at many across the country and I'm so grateful we chose this one. Their multifaceted Christ centered approach to healing saved my life. The combination of group & individual therapy, healthy activities, meeting attendance and Bible studies helped me transform my heart and mind as I healed from years of addiction to substances. The brotherhood I found amongst the men and staff was truly incredible and I now have a lifelong support system. I couldn't be more grateful for the tools I've been given to live a new life full of gratitude and service to others. I now have confidence to return home to my family a changed man with a sobriety plan to attend meetings while working the 12 steps with my sponsor.
