Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I went in to go get my wife's medication mind you my wife is disabled and cannot walk everywhere. She's mainly restricted to a wheelchair. I went in gave the information required and I asked what she had ready for pickup, they gave me the information. I was texting my wife letting her know and they told me I was violating HIPAA by being on the phone and that I cannot be on the phone. I told him that I was talking to my wife and that they don't have any rules in HIPAA stating that I cannot be on the phone. Especially when they already gave me some of her medical information voluntarily after I already provided her date of birth and name. So they told me that I was not able to return to the pharmacy. So I will recommend never go here because this Pharmacy does not know the actual laws when it comes to HIPAA. If there was any restrictions on the phone they already more than blew HIPAA out of the water by providing me her actual medication names and status of her medications so why it was being on the phone not allowed, and one gets so ugly with me when I was talking to the patient through the phone. And when I told him that I am not coming back the response was that's fine I have other clients out there. So you're not even important to them, I used to be a pharmacy tech and I took everyone in a great value and was very sad when I saw somebody leave that was not satisfied or confident in the service I was providing. So if they are just seeing you as just one of the masses and not providing individual proper service, nor fully understanding the exact laws of HIPAA on the account that they are indeed part of the medical profession I would highly recommend not to go here because after all if you can't even pass a simple exam for HIPAA and you have to use that as a reason to be ugly to someone because you don't like them on a phone then leave a customer service for all because that is what a pharmacy tech is is you are assisting the pharmacist by providing customer service. HIPAA does not prevent you from being on the phone when you have already provided medical information to that person already. It wasn't even a schedule 2 medication it was a standard RX medication which was not require an ID to pick up you just have to be over the age of 18 and since I am 41 and more than look over the age of 18 and they did not verify with the ID, not my fault but never tell me I'm not allowed on my phone, especially when I'm talking to the patient for the person whose medication I am picking up. Needless to say I will be switching pharmacies

I do not typically use Fry’s for my pharmacy, but I needed an emergency medication for my dog and no other pharmacy’s had it, especially since they were close to closing. Patti at the pharmacy was incredible. I can’t say enough great things about her. She went through hell and high water trying to find me a cheaper price for his meds because they were very pricy. She did that for me unprompted and I thought that was so above and beyond.

Can’t get ahold of anyone on the phone, they tell you to call a day before to get the meds refilled and they don’t answer and hang up on you.

Very disappointed about a snarky comment that was made by a the Frys on Fair Street staff about a medication I desperately needed refilled. There is a long story involved, but when one is seriously concerned about their own health and someone who works at the pharmacy makes a snarky comment in the background that is not acceptable. Additionally they were out of two other medications I needed refilled. After going to this pharmacy for three + years I will be finding a new pharmacy.
