The people there are amazing and very helpful and quick to solve any problems. Light hearted and fun to work with and great for comic relief. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Finding the perfect pair of glasses for my son was a challenge but he found it at the Target Optical Eye Center. Kathi was there helping us out and she showed patience and a great vibe to our mission. Thanks so much for making our little boy's first eyeglass purchase an easy and quick process.

I’ve been coming to this Target Optical for years and have always had positive experiences with both the doctors and the optical staff, which is why this most recent experience was so disappointing.
When I recently purchased my own glasses, the woman who helped me was wonderful. She took the time to go through my insurance coverage and helped me choose frames and lenses that worked within what my insurance would cover. I really appreciated that experience, and it’s actually why I recommended that my husband go here as well.
Unfortunately, he came home having spent nearly four times what I did on his glasses. I went back in hoping to simply understand the difference and get a breakdown of what he had purchased. The employee who had helped my husband immediately became defensive and repeatedly insisted that she had not “oversold” him, even though I hadn’t accused her of that—I was trying to understand why a pair of reading glasses ended up costing nearly $300.
As we went through the order, there were several lens upgrades added that I personally don’t feel were necessary for what he needed. When I questioned one of them, specifically the blue-light lens upgrade, the conversation became argumentative rather than helpful. Regardless of whether someone believes an upgrade is beneficial, I think customers should be clearly informed about what is optional, what it costs, and what their insurance covers so they can make that decision for themselves.
Thankfully, the woman who originally helped me stepped in and was incredibly kind and helpful. She explained that once my husband’s glasses arrive, he can decide whether he wants to keep them or return them for a refund, which we will most likely be doing.
I’m giving three stars because I’ve had many good experiences here over the years and one of the current employees is absolutely wonderful. But this particular interaction left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated. I really hope there is more emphasis going forward on clearly explaining optional upgrades and costs rather than putting customers in a position where they leave spending significantly more than they expected.

Best optometrist and overall eye care experience for new glasses I have had to date. Prices almost seemed cheaper than my experience at wal mart optical

Extremely frustrating scheduling experience. I was searching for a new eye doctor and decided to try this location since they had same-day availability — my wife and I booked appointments for that afternoon.
When we arrived at our scheduled time, we watched another patient get taken back ahead of us. If the office was already running behind schedule, why book two more appointments in that same window? And if it was a walk-in being worked in, that's even worse — don't bump patients who scheduled in advance for that exact slot.
Basic scheduling and time management shouldn't be this hard for a medical office. We won't be rebooking here.
