I purchased expensive lenses from here and their lab times are 9-6 Monday-Friday. I work 8:30-5:30 Monday - Friday. I called them to tell them I was gonna be there same day at 6 or just shy of it because I work far away. I got there 3 minutes before they closed (speeding to get there in time) and they locked the doors and told me no.

I recently came here to purchase glasses for my daughter, and the experience lacked basic pricing transparency. Under my EyeMed plan, the frame was supposed to be completely free. However, the salesperson defaulted to the most expensive premium lenses without offering any alternative options or explaining the price tiers. When I checked my initial itemized receipt at home, I noticed they had actually charged me $42 for the frame, bringing the total to $170. When I went back to dispute the unauthorized frame charge, the staff simply changed the paperwork on the spot. They gave me a new calculation marking the frame as $0, but inflated the lens features so the final total conveniently remained exactly $170. It feels like they reverse-engineered the bill to hit a specific price point rather than honestly applying my insurance benefits. Be very careful and double-check your itemized receipts here—their sales tactics and pricing practices are highly misleading. Update : 02 June 2026 I had a survey filled for the link sent by LensCrafters customer relations team on 29th May 2026 I received a call from the shop on 1st June explaining that I had selected one of the most expensive frames, which contributed to the higher price. I acknowledged the explanation at the time. The following day, they contacted me again and offered to replace the premium AR lens with a standard AR lens, asking me to bring the glasses in for the change, which I agreed to do. Shortly after, I received another call informing me that they would process a refund of $78 (I had initially requested a $60 refund) and that there was no need to return the glasses. The Manager, promptly initiated the refund. I appreciate the manager’s responsiveness and efforts in resolving the issue to my satisfaction.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
