  When I walked in for the first time the Staff was very friendly and have such good rapport with each other. Dr. Purcell is one of the sweetest, kindest Dentist I have been to. The Hygienist’s are all very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend Purcell Family Dentistry to all my family and friends.

  My wife and I went to this dentist for many years, before Dr. Purcell was even there and it was Dr Gatti's practice. We even stayed after we moved so the drive was twice as long because we liked Dr Gatti and the hygienists that worked there. However, since it has apparently been taken over by Dr. Purcell, things have gone downhill fast. Let me be clear. Dr. Purcell is very nice and for the two minutes that I see her at an appointment, I don't have any issues with her at all. However all the hygienists I've worked with left (for family reasons apparently) and the person I just saw was horrible. I feel bad for anyone that sits in her chair but it will not be me. I do not enjoy the dentist and I get nervous going so I'm usually not joyful and happy when I arrive. I asked her to please be gentle and her response was "it doesn't have to be like this. You don't have to be rude" and "I won't be talked to like that". All I did was ask her to be gentle. WTH!?!?! It was clear to me at that time that I did not want someone like that sticking sharp objects in my mouth so I ended the appointment and left. Ultimately, that was our last appointment in that office. My wife and I will both be moving to a new dentist that prioritizes patient care and has better chair-side manner and Id recommend you keep looking for another dentist as well. Response: Since Google won’t let me reply directly to their response, I’ll just say this: their response was thoughtful, friendly, and considerate. I only wish I had experienced that same kindness while I was actually in the chair. Being told I was “rude” simply for asking someone to be gentle was upsetting and made an already anxious experience even worse. Everyone’s experience may differ, but I genuinely hope others don’t leave feeling as uncomfortable and unheard as I did. Thankfully, I’ve since found a new dentist through a friend’s recommendation, and the difference has been night and day. They’ve been incredibly kind, patient, and focused on making sure I feel comfortable — especially knowing I have anxiety about dental visits. Take this review however you’d like, but for me, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

  I have been going to Purcell fam dentistry for a few years now. Courtney is my preferred hygienist, she is great at her craft. I would highly recommend this office!
