I have always been treated with respect and professionally. I always leave with much more than my medications.

Got there just as they were opening up/retracting the barriers, was the first customer being helped, was directed to wait, and I sat and waited for 20 minutes before just walking out. I had an appointment too. There were NO customers ahead of me, and practically no one walking up to the pharmacy counter (maybe 1 or 2 people within the 20 minute time period that I waited). There is absolutely no reason why someone should wait that long when they made an appointment and the pharmacy was absolutely not busy. My experience at other pharmacies has been much better; even during busy times with heavy customer traffic, I wait maybe 5 minutes tops.

I was happy using the Albertson's pharmacy for about a year. I was used to seeing one of my favorite employee's every month. I'm not sure what her last name was, but her first name is Mary. She has dark hair and such a nice, caring disposition. I am a chronic pain patient. I have been suffering from a spinal injury for several years now. I also, simultaneously suffer from debilitating migraines and neck pain. Mary was one of the few whom never judged me or treated me differently when it came to my pain medication. I also have trouble with sleep due to my pain and stress. Sadly, it's like the saying goes, 'it only takes one apple to ruin the bunch.' A pharmacist named Pam not only humiliated me in front of staff and customer's. By pointing her finger at me while using a loud judgmental tone. "You can't have your sleeping medication when you are on opiates." She also seemingly went out of her way to make sure I couldn't fill them. "We need to hear from your Psychiatrist, letting us know that he is aware of what you are on." Despite feeling shamed over the medication that helps me to function, I was still politely agreeable. She supposedly spoke to him, but that was not good enough. She told me she required a letter from him, while also scaring him with a Narcan script written to me that I have never used. I've never overdosed on anything. It was only written as a precaution. Just as it was written to every other pain patient whom saw the same pain MD I was seeing. So I then had to call my Psychiatrist to explain all of this to him. Once I did, he then faxed a thorough letter to this pharmacy. Pam received this letter and still, it wasn't good enough. She then told me that he would need to send another letter explaining why I was on a different dose. I feel, had she really wanted to help me. With medications I had been on for years with zero side effects. She would have asked him about my dosage prior to his letter. It seems as if she went out of her way to make sure I didn't get my medications. She in the past, had made it quite clear how she felt about opiates. I feel that she let her personal feelings get in the way of doing her job. To this day, I still never got to fill one of my pain medications. This was not an isolated incident. Prior to all of the new laws, she always gave me a dirty look when I went to fill my medications. Despite that, I kept going back for Mary, whom never treated me like a criminal, but as a person in pain. However, I will never go back now because of Pam, the pharmacist.
