Front desk was awesome. Waiting time was very minimal. Dr. Frost is very professional and informative and my dental hygienist gets an A+. Thanks for a most excellent first experience!

Didn't care for this place, nor the dentist. I came in as a new patient and was quickly overwhelmed by the blaring Disney movie that was playing in the waiting room. Along with the lack of clients, let alone children, why blast Moana, of all things? I was taken to a room rather quickly after speaking to the kind woman at reception. Unfortunately I absolutely could not understand nor hear my dental assistant very well because she had a mask on, spoke softly, and there was now a radio blasting in the halls. Like, it was uncomfortably loud even for me and I'm hard of hearing.. I explain to my dental assistant that I'm having severe toothache and there's a chip in one of my molars. She gets X-rays pretty quickly and it was nice just sitting there as she used a little handheld device to do so. It was quick and easy. Eventually the dentist comes in, I forgot his name.. Eric maybe? Well, he's a younger white guy with dirty blonde hair, if I remember correctly. Yeah, so he's a walking ball of anxiety. He explains to me that he's in the field but always hated dentists and never really wanted to do this but his family is made up of dentists, "so- you know?" His story was strange and he kept looking everywhere except towards me and it felt really awkward. I was very thrown off by how timid he was. Anyway, he explained that I'd need a root canal and crown but since it's Friday at approximately 1pm, this procedure would take 3 hours and it's already too late in the day to do so, so come back next week. I'm thrown off because I'm in a lot of pain, so much so that even cold air hurts my tooth.. I was to leave without anything other than, "well, just call us if the pain gets worse or maybe go to the ER." ...In that moment I knew I wouldn't be returning here for this procedure. This dentist does not strike me as confident in his own abilities nor does he really seem to care. He seems almost scared to talk to new patients and I just got such a weird vibe from this place all together.

Frequently Asked Questions About Gilbert Dental Center

Do you accept insurance?

Gilbert Dental Center accepts most insurance and PPO plans. We recommend contacting our office at (480) 571-4004 to verify coverage. Please have your insurance information available when calling. Patients are expected to pay their copay or deductible at the time of their appointment.

How do I know what type of cleaning I will get during my visit?

The type of cleaning you receive is determined by your dental diagnosis. A standard cleaning involves teeth polishing. For a deep cleaning, which extends below the gum line, local anesthesia is used. Periodontal cleanings, performed every 3-4 months, are designed to manage existing gum disease and prevent its progression.
