Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I’m sorry, but the staff at this pharmacy are just the worst. They treat every customer like an absolute inconvenience. Today it was Lexi. I couldn’t hear what she said. I asked her very politely to speak louder just so I could hear her. Then came the attitude and when I said thank you for the transaction she didn’t acknowledge even my existence. Why do they have to be so rude?!

I requested to purchase a package of insulin syringes for a legitimate medical purpose (subcutaneous peptide therapy). Despite Arizona state law (A.R.S. § 36-2525) not requiring a prescription for the sale of syringes, the pharmacist on duty Vani Along with the Pharmacy Tech denied the sale. Never once at any other competing pharmacy have I been questioned about my intentions for using the syringes, with the expectation I must convince them my purposes are worthy of their agreement to sell the product. More concerning than the denial was the manner in which it was handled. My wife and I were treated with overt suspicion and made to feel as if the medical needs were disingenuous in front of our child, along with other shoppers. This behavior was a direct assault on our character and an egregious violation of the professional standards expected of a licensed pharmacist.

All pharmacists are very good and Dr. Naimil Patel is the very best . Very responsible , friendly , quick and very very respectful . Only reason for 2 stars ( and not 5 stars) is there is this one young lady name JAY works there . She is extremely extremely rude, abrupt, totally not friendly nor customer oriented, disrespectful , very very arrogant and severe attitude( not sure why ?). I do not think she belongs there . Please replace her with better employee in my opinion . Thank you All pharmacists are great ! Very helpful, polite and friendly. Dr. Naimil Patel is the best of that bunch This Fry's pharmacy is our drug store of choice but every time we come to pick up our Rx and if this lady working , same terrible experience . Thank you !

Everyone is always so friendly, the place is clean, they have a decent selection of groceries and this is probably one of the only Fry’s I’ve been to where the premade food at the deli is actually tasty.
