  My experience was odd and I won’t be going back. The optician who handles the checkout process claimed that my insurance doesn’t cover contacts. I paid in full, went home, double checked my insurance plan, and drove back so that I could physically show him that contacts are covered. He then gave me a refund. I was able to pick up my contacts a few days later. Usually I would consider this an honest mistake, but other things that happened during my visit made me skeptical. While in the waiting area, I’m pretty certain I heard one of the employees (who I suspect was the store manager) praise the optician for “having good numbers last week”. I didn’t think much of it until later, when that same optician told me that my insurance wouldn’t cover my contacts. I saw some similar reviews about possible unfair charging. It could be that mistakes are being made with billing/insurance, but the comments from the manager made me feel like I’m just another sale. In addition to this, I do not like the new contacts I’ve been given. I visited in October last year, so I’ve been using these for a few months now. When makeup or dirt gets smudged on them, they’re impossible to clean and I have to toss the contact early (that or deal with having blurry patches in my vision). I never had this issue with my old contacts (air optix). I think these are Biofinity? It’s hard to tell because the boxes are “pearle” branded. Hopefully Pearle offers better options but, if not, just be aware of this issue (especially if you’re a wearer of eye make up). I’m just imagining how much more upset I would be if I had to pay full price for these contacts. I just hope my next insurance plan covers more than these mall-grade vision centers, because I miss my old eye doctor and her independent practice.

  It was a great experience. Very knowledgeable staff. Alison was very helpful. She has a great attitude. The eye doctor took time to answer all of my questions.

  This place was the best doctor experience I have ever had. Legit. Both the doctor and the eye glass tech were amazing and friendly and actually seemed like they cared. I have so many docs that just want to see you and move on to bill the insurance but not here. They even brought me back into the exam room after my exam while I was looking at frames for another test to help find the best lenses for me. Fully recommend and will be going back.

  I was treated by Trae & Helen respectfully with knowledgeable smiling faces upon entering Pearl Vision. Shale Demuth OD was pleasant during the examination and when explaining the results to me. She also gave me tips to follow for dry eyes. Thank you Pearl Vision/Chandler.
