CorePower Chandler will always have a special place in my heart. This is where I fell in love with yoga and yoga helped me through some really tough time in my life. Unfortunately, COVID changed the world and me. I am not able to afford a membership at this time, so I am grateful for this free community session. I appreciate the support of the instructor throughout the session and thankful for the intention the instructor has set during the class. Look forward to joining another session soon!

The classes are a 10 out of 10, the instructors are very attentive. I have nothing bad to say about corepower yoga.

⭐️⭐️ (2/5) I’ve been practicing yoga for a long time, and one of the things I appreciate most about yoga is the ability to find your own flow and practice in a way that feels natural for your body. Unfortunately, my experience at CorePower Yoga didn’t reflect that spirit at all. The instructor came across as extremely bossy throughout the class. Instead of creating a calm and supportive environment, it felt like there were constant corrections and rules being thrown out that didn’t seem to align with anything I’ve seen in CorePower’s official policies. At times it honestly felt like personal rules were being made up on the spot. For example, I was wearing sunglasses during the class simply because I try to be respectful and not make anyone uncomfortable by accidentally looking at them while practicing. As a guy in a yoga class, I’m mindful of that. But the instructor kept emphasizing things about gaze and where people were looking in a way that made it feel awkward, almost like I was being indirectly called out even though I was just minding my own business and focusing on my practice. At one point I was doing a handstand and lightly bracing myself against the steel bar near the windows. I’ve been practicing handstands most of my life and know exactly what I’m doing. I wasn’t going to damage anything. But the way it was addressed felt condescending, almost like I was being treated as if I didn’t know what I was doing. What made the contrast even more noticeable is that I’ve practiced at Freedom Yoga in Utah before, and the vibe there is completely different. It’s literally called “Freedom Yoga” for a reason — you’re encouraged to find your own flow, move how you want, and there’s none of that bossy “Karen” energy. The community there felt welcoming and authentic, and the staff actually seemed to care about the people practicing. This particular class at CorePower had more of a rigid, corporate, almost institutional vibe. Instead of feeling relaxed and centered, I honestly couldn’t wait for the class to end because of how controlling the environment felt. Yoga should feel supportive and freeing, not like you’re constantly being policed. Hopefully other locations are better, but this experience definitely missed the mark for me. 🧘‍♂️

Class just got out. Saw a bunch of people leaving as I arrived just before 10:40am on 2/20/26. Had a quick question as to whether they still offered a specific program. Door was locked but there were still a handful of people inside. Yoga instructor had laid something on the ground. I was looking in the window of the door, knocking, and waving. Yoga instructor just looked up at me and then went about what she was doing. Then she started talking to someone as they came out of the yoga room (there were still people left coming out of that room). Then she went over to the desk to check on something, still ignoring me. It wasn't till the one of the guest that had been shopping for clothes, left that I was able to come inside. The instructor never once acknowledged that she ignored me or apologized. I would not have left this negative review if at the minimum, she had acknowledged why she ignored me at the door or apologized. Again, there was still a handful of people in the building that may have needed to shower or pack up and leave that had not gone yet. So it wasn't like I was getting there when the instructor was about to leave. Ultimately, she told me she didn't know the answer and to reach out to the manager.
