Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a program for opioid or alcohol dependence that reduces craving and supports recovery maintenance. MAT includes integrated outpatient care services, including group and individual therapy.

Drug & Alcohol Detox

Alcoholism and drug addiction (substance use disorders) are serious and sometimes life-threatening medical conditions that can upend lives. Quitting can be difficult and, in some cases, when not medically supervised, life-threatening. Buena Vista provides best-in-class, patient-centered, medically monitored inpatient detoxification to ease symptoms and ensure a safe withdrawal experience.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) & Virtual IOP

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is ideal for patients stepping down from inpatient (residential) treatment or medical detox who want additional recovery support. IOP means attending 3-hour sessions three days a week, often including one hour of individual therapy and other wrap-around services. Generally, the IOP or Virtual IOP bundle means a time commitment of 10-11 hours a week.

Inpatient Drug & Alcohol Treatment

Inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab provides the highest level of treatment for those suffering from a substance use disorder, including, when necessary, medically monitored detoxification. Our caring and supportive providers meet patients where they are, designing personalized treatment plans to see them through our continuum of care. Patients enjoy private rooms and chef-prepared meals and attend daily group and individual therapy.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Buena Vista Recovery provides compassionate, person-centered addiction treatment in a supportive recovery community. Our modern rehab facility offers comprehensive detox and rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual’s unique needs and recovery goals. With experienced behavioral health professionals, personalized care plans, and a strong peer support network, we help patients build a foundation for lasting sobriety. We believe healing happens through connection, understanding, and empowerment every step of the way.

Outpatient Drug & Alcohol Treatment

Outpatient drug & alcohol treatment allows those in recovery to maintain their daily lives while receiving ongoing supportive care, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), personalized counseling and group therapy, case management, and peer counseling.

I’m on 200mg of Methadone, would I be able to come and stay on my current dose of Methadone? If yes I would love to come to your facility?

I can’t say enough good things about this treatment center. Choosing to come here was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The staff truly cared about me as a person and made me feel supported, respected, and understood throughout my time there. I came in needing help, and I left with tools, knowledge, and a stronger foundation for my recovery. The environment was welcoming, the staff were compassionate and encouraging, and I never felt like I was just another client. I’m incredibly grateful for the people I met, the lessons I learned, and the growth I experienced here. This place played an important role in my recovery journey, and I will always be thankful for that. If you’re struggling and considering treatment, I highly recommend giving this center a chance. ❤️🙏🏼

My experience there was not the best, to start the Air conditioning was not working during the month of July, Rooms was in the upper 80 degrees. The medical staff didn't have my medication right for over a week. Provider only came in a couple days a week. The food portions was terrible, it being a treatment center you think they would be feeding you more, knowing that before you get there you a most likely not eating very good. They also had cameras in the rooms on the residential side, problem with that is completely illegal to do that in state of Arizona. Also staff was not all on the same page one would say one that and another would say something different. I also was told that I would leave with a 14 day supply of the medications I was on and when I was discharged I did not get all of the meds. Now I have to go a week without them till I go to the Dr. I feel that they are working on getting the place better but they have some real issues they need to address to get it up to standers. On a positive note you do get a private room with a TV and your cell phone from 4-9pm. Also all of the BHT's and Medical staff are awesome. Upper management did inform us that the facility was up to standers however the day after that was said they did close detox and stop admitting people.

My boyfriend went into detox 6/29, moved to residential 7 days later and it is now 7/13 and the air conditioning in the building has not been working in their rooms the whole time. Clients have heat rash from the rooms being 90 degrees or higher. The food has also been minimal and not good. There is only one meal option per meal, if you don't like it there is pb&j, today's lunch consisted of 1/4 of a hot dog and a scoop of beans!! A lot of the staff is not friendly or respectful, nor do they all follow the same rules and regulations.
