Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The customer service is horrible! Every time I call in to ask for the status of my prescription I get told it will be ready at a certain time, I the go to pick it up sometimes even a little after that because I get it things happen but when I get there they say the prescription never got pushed through! So its going to be another hour! This is medication I need not just something i get for fun! Horrible service!

This pharmacy has been terrible for the entire 12 years I have lived in Avondale, if terrible is an extreme enough word. They continually take my prescription when I drop it off and never do anything with it until I call and ask what is going on and they say they will fill it for me and I can pick them up tomorrow. Always, when I go the next day, they give me 1 or 2 of the 4 prescriptions I have been on for a long time and give some random reason why they didn't fill all of the prescriptions I submitted together. One time I asked them "It has been a week since I dropped them off, why aren't they filled by now?" The person at the window looked at her computer and pointed to it and said "We have 973 prescriptions to fill as of now." Another time I was just disgusted by their customer service so I had a look on my face and the pharmacist looked at my prescription (It was an antidepressant) and said "I don't want you to be depressed." This was completely unprofessional and I was glad that I was in a car and she was in a window because I don't know if I wouldn't have stomped her head. I see my therapist every 3 months and she writes my prescriptions for a 3 month supply until I see her again. They ALWAYS fill it in 3 separate prescriptions so I don't get the full prescription and have to go through hell 3 times rather than just once. Every time I drop off my prescriptions, I ask them to fill them for the full 3 months and they always say that they will make a not of it in the system but that never works. Today, after my visit through the drive through is the time I decided to do this review because my therapist wrote my prescription for .5mg. I have been taking .5mgs of this for years. The first time I tried to pick it up they said it couldn't be filled because they need to confirm something with my doctor. So today I asked them what exactly the hold up was. She looked into it and printed me a copy of the actual prescription sheet and showed me that the doctor had written .50 and because it had a 0 at the end of it they couldn't tell if it was for 50mgs or .5mgs. They needed a clarification from my doctor on which one it was. How in the world would they think that my doctor would write for 50 mgs when I have been taking .5mgs as I said for years? She said "Well, you know... it goes from the doctor to the pharmacy... and we are the last line of defense." Are you kidding me. Now I really do think they are just screwing with me for kicks or something. I told them I am willing to accept the lower quantity and that they didn't need to look into it. I told them I would sign a release stating I accept the lower dosage. They told me they need to know from the doctor. I am moving out of the area on Tuesday so I hope they have it figured out by then. I have a bunch of other crazy stories about their behavior but I don't recall anything right now. I hope this is informative to whoever needs this information. They may treat other really well with respect but not me for whatever reason. I really hope their management reads this and makes some immediate changes or at least correct what is happening.
