Children's nw was the worst experience I ever had with the care of my children and will not hear you as their parents and will give you a run arpund just to come back and tell you exactly what youve been trying to tell them.
1. An e.r Dr that lied to me about test results at pur previous Dr which I had to pull up myself to show him which upset him greatly, then when I told them why and how it was a lie due to my kid having a blood disorder he then lied again and told us that he can tell she wasn't anemic due to our genetic (whole family has it) blood disorder. He clearly just didn't know what it was and was to egotistical to even test for it himself if he didn't believe me.
2. Had a cardiologist not know that iron supplaments caused black stool. (Common knowledge honestly) which lead us to a 9 hr hospital stay where the e.r Dr never saw her poop. The staff continued to ignore me about iron supplaments then e.r Dr came back in 9 hrs later to inform me its prob due to iron supplaments as if I hadn't been saying this on repeat.
While telling me nothing is wrong with my child she has repeatedly been sent to specialists "just in case" then those specialists kind of laugh at me saying this isn't the case which we already knew.... I'm beginning to think the hospital is just doing insurance scam because none of the "emergencies" we had would have been emergencies if Dr and staff 1. Didn't lie and 2. Listened to parents. My child still has dizzy spells and fatigue and we got no answers other than them telling us it's a heart disease to find out its not a heart issue at all to telling us it internal bleeding which also wasn't true. We still have 0 reason on why she's dizzy but we did spent many hours in the hospital scared for her life for no reason other than them jumping to conclusions without looking at the facts.
Also after all this and speaking up about it, I heard so many nightmare stories from other nurses and staffs about the place and how they can't stand childrens northwest either. It is clear the hospital is struggling big. Honestly would trust my dogs vet before ever taking my kid to any dr of children's nw again.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. We were contacted the same week as the referral and were able to schedule an appointment for the following week, which was incredibly quick. The instructions beforehand were clear and easy to follow, making the entire process feel seamless.
When we arrived, we were asked to complete imaging before the appointment. Even with a full waiting room, everything moved efficiently, and we were able to finish imaging and still make it to our appointment within the 15-minute early arrival window. As someone who has worked in hospitals, I was especially impressed by how clean and welcoming the facility was.
Dr. Ylanan was outstanding. He took the time to speak directly to my daughter, which made her feel comfortable, heard, and truly included in her care. He was thorough in both his examination and his explanation, and made sure we understood what was happening and how to move forward. His approach was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely appreciated.
Overall, this was a great experience, and we would highly recommend.
