I took my daughter in for acne, and the nurse practitioner at Dr. King's office in Mountain Home was the worse nurse practitioner we've ever had to deal with, she was rude and was rushing through everything. She kept wanting to give my 17 old daughter medicine that comes with major daily side affects, I told her I don't want my daughter on that is there another way to treat my daughter, the nurse practitioner said this is the only way, my daughter even told her she's not taking that medicine with those side affects. The nurse practitioner yelled at us said what do you want me to do then, I said give her antibiotics or something the nurse practitioner said I'm not treating her and her not follow up, mind you we never said we wouldn't follow up I told her my daughter will do what ever she has to do, now please treat my daughter we didn't make this long drive to waist our time. The nurse practitioner said I'm not treating her yall need to leave this office, I said we're not going anywhere til my daughter is treated, the nurse practitioner walked out the door had the nurse to walk out with her, my daughter and I stayed in the exam room. Few minutes went by and then the Doctor himself walks in the exam room with the nurse and the nurse practitioner, and the doctor went over a treatment with me and my daughter that doesn't comes with side affects and this treatment my daughter and I were on board with, yet when I asked the nurse practitioner if there was another way to treat my daughter, she was loud with us while telling us there's no other treatment, or any other way to treat my daughter besides the medicine that comes with major side affects. THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY TO TREAT MY DAUGHTER WITHOUT THE MEDICINE WITH ALL THE SIDE AFFECTS, JUST HAD TO GET THE DOCTOR. We have have follow up appointment with Dr.Kings office in a few weeks, I'm asking to see the doctor again, we dont want to see that nurse practitioner again. Also I even asked the nurse practitioner to refer my daughter to a different dermatologist since she didn't want to treat my daughter and she refused to do that as well. I really recommend don't see the nurse practitioner, see the doctor.
