  I am disappointed with the lack of communication at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Staff offered to watch my five-month-old daughter while I went home for approximately 30 minutes to grab essentials. I had just rocked my daughter to sleep for the first time since being there for over 3 hours when they finally brought us to a room. When I returned, my daughter was gone, and I was told she had been taken for MORE X-rays without anyone notifying me. Her diaper had also been changed. I asked them where is the x ray room and no body could tell me… after I kept asking they said she’s on her way back. I did not believe that so I asked where is she again and they called and asked, was she on her way back and xray said no………….. when my daughter finally came back they needed her for more x rays and when we went back there they told us to wait outside and they locked the door. But earlier when we went for the first set of x rays we could stand in the room……. I should have been informed before my infant was taken for additional procedures. Parents deserve transparency and communication, especially when their child is already being treated for serious injuries. Wait time is absurd and rude staff.

  By far the worst children hospital i have ever took my daughter to. Take her there because she is weizing after she coughs, sat there for over 3 HOURS!!! Just to be told by a doctor, its going to be another 4 HOURS before we can see her and unless something all of a sudden happens we are just going to have to wait. Not a sorry or anything. I understand emergency rooms can get full but there was no sympathy there at all, and if you need more staff, need to start hiring people. My wife met a gentleman there with his son, and his son had a bug bite that the father just wanted to get checked out and get the proper medicine for him, and I think he said he's been there a couple of hours just for that. Had to leave there to go to a different hospital so my daughter can get checked out to make sure its nothing serious. I would not recommend anybody taking there children here

  I complained to a supervisor on a nurse named Haley that she wasn't watching my daughter which I had premature twins so my lil girl wasn't doing well plus she wasn't being watch n it was something around my daughter mouth prevented her from breathing so I told on the nurse in front of her the next day they call my wife over because we were staying at Ronald McDonald house to talk about housing and resources then told her your husband drop the f bomb to a nurse yesterday which was a lie n ban me from seeing my twins and Ronald McDonald put us out on the streets without any investigation never face me to tell me that they sent the messages through my wife so me I feel children hospital staff are lazy they don't be watching your babies and they will lie on you n the higher up won't do an investigation then when they put me out I ask can my twins be move they told me I don't have a say so about that's up to mom now that got under my skin because I been here since day one and I never cuss at a nurse or anyone or said a cuss word around staff I was lie on kick out n told I had no say so about were my twins go I feel disrespected and discriminate against

  No parents want to have to take their kids to the ER. We unfortunately had to take our daughter for the first time on Saturday. From the moment we got there to the moment we left everyone we encountered from the security, nurses, doctors and the attending doctor were incredibly nice and professional. We were able to get in within 30min. Dr. Stahl and Dr. Morse walked us through everything and made sure we had all of our questions answered and that we were comfortable in the difficult time. Thank you for making a difficult trip as pleasant as possible.

  While my friend and her husband were at their final shift before our road trip the next day for my birthday, she asked if I could look after her son. While peeing, he came up the stairs to ask me for a bowl of cereal; while on the stairs, he fell into the railing slightly and banged his head. He kept complaining about how badly his head hurt, and my friend called and suggested I take him to the hospital just in case it was serious. I waited practically hours for someone to finally look at his head. Luckily he was all good, and they only had to look at his head, so the medical bill was not that high for my friend and her husband to pay. Never thought in a country as forward as America that does not have free healthcare would I have such a negative experience. Also Nancy was extremely rude saying, 'His mother should be here with him not you, his head can't hurt that bad'.
