Myopia, or nearsightedness, is very common. This basically means that you can see objects at close range but are unable to focus clearly on objects far away. Statistics show that instances of myopia may be on the rise, and there are growing concerns that this increased occurrence could be directly related to the time we spend in front of our many screens. Vision can usually be corrected with glasses or contact lenses; however, new advances in research have proven that if treated correctly, myopia progression can even be halted.
