Emergency Room
Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children is North Alabama's only Pediatric Emergency Department for minor illnesses and critical injuries. Led by pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatric patients also have access to almost every pediatric physician specialty. And, if needed, the hospital has the region's only dedicated pediatric unit and pediatric ICU. The Child Life specialists use creative and age-appropriate techniques to ease children's anxiety including a visit by one of the two hospital Golden Retriever certified therapy dogs.
