Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

A few months ago maybe 3, the pharmacy got something messed up and only gave me half my script when I’d always gotten the same script every month for bout a year at this time. I had to have my doctor call and straighten it out, it was all good. Now like 3 months later they do the same exact thing and they can see it’s already been a mistake to cut my script in half but they do it anyway. So I have my doctors call again to have everything verified and fixed back to where it’s supposed to be. Being they only gave me half my script 2 days ago and I had to pick up another script today I ask if they could fill the other half of the script they messed up 2 days ago and said no! You’ll have to drive back out here again to get the remainder of the script Kroger messed up for a second time. So now I have to wait 2 weeks and drive back out there to get the rest of the script I should’ve gotten two days ago to begin with!! I’m gonna take my business elsewhere cause they can’t seem to do anything right and this is only one if a few problems I’ve just let go. Don’t go to Kroger pharmacy’s!!! Horrible service and can’t even get scripts right so you’ll probably get sick cause who knows if they can’t get the easy stuff right how can you count on them to get the serious stuff correct?!!

I’m so over them. My doc sent my script in, and I knew it was a couple days early so didn’t think anything of it. I sent my husband to pick them up and they weren’t ready, and they tell him they don’t have it in stock. This is Friday night. So now I have to wait until Monday so I can have my doc send them in somewhere else. I switched from Walgreens because they never had my meds in stock, but at least Walgreens let me know as soon as they were sent in so I could let my doc know and have them send them somewhere else. Krogers does not do that. Plus if your doc sends something in and it’s not time to fill them you have to literally call them on the day they can be filled and ask them to fill them. They won’t just do it like most pharmacies do. Making people come off there meds and go without because they can’t take the time to let someone know they are out of stock is dangerous, and very uncomfortable for someone who has been taking those meds for a long period of time. Looks like I’ll be calling around and finding a new pharmacy. This is not the first time this has happened, but it’s going to be the last. Oh and I did try calling them on Thursday just to make sure everything was good to go, and the phone just rang and rang no one would pick up. Had they picked up there phone I would have known they were out of stock and been able to send my meds somewhere else. I understand people get busy, but at least pick up and ask someone to hold. This is completely unacceptable! Do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

Very slow at filling Prescriptions, the majority of wait times I've experienced are consistently 1 hour or longer. Unless you are in no hurry, I wouldn't recommend them.
