  I found out last year that I had hearing loss that disqualified me from rejoining the military. My ENT referred me to the miracle ear office attached to his practice. Jason seemed knowledgable and fitted me for their most expensive hearing aides. I desperately needed hearing aides as my hearing loss was affecting my work. I looked up the requirements for tricare to pay and I met all the requirements. I told this to Jason on the day I was fitted for hearing aides and he stated they would submit a claim. I was still enrolled in the auto pay but was told I would be reimbursed for any payments made before the claim was accepted. It has been three months now and I have made three payments toward these hearing aides, that don't work very well. I have called tricare and they said no claim has been made in the last three months. I called Val at miracle ear and she stated they didn't submit a claim because they were waiting to be accepted as a provider. I continued to call and am told no one can talk to me at this time. I have asked for the insurance dept number and am told they don't know one. This has been the worst experience and I DO NOT recommend this company. There are plenty of other hearing aide companies to choose from. I was told today they would email the insurance dept and try to get a claim going. I honestly don't recommend this company. And be warned, if you use tricare, at the time of this review, they are not a provider! Update: Since this review, Val has contacted during every step as they gained the provider ID through Tricare and submitted my claim. She has ensured I stayed up to date on what’s going on. The latest step was me requesting a referral from Lyster as my original referral came from the ENT, and apparently would not suffice. I am still awaiting to see if my claim is accepted and whether my hearing aides will be covered. The good news is, they are now Tricare providers and will be able to help more veterans and active duty members. Even better, Lyster did not know you could get hearing aides covered if you are active duty or family of active duty. I told them the requirements per Tricare policy and they are now willing to submit referrals for hearing aides if you fall within the covered hearing loss. I will continue to update as this changes.
