I’ve been genuinely disappointed with this location, and I feel obligated to share my experience so others know what they’re walking into. The gym is consistently dirty equipment, floors, and common areas never seem to be cleaned to a reasonable standard. The layout is poorly designed, with a noticeable lack of common equipment that most gyms consider basic. Half of the free‑weight area is blocked off for classes that only happen a few hours a day, leaving members crowded into the remaining space. The front desk staff is friendly and tries to help, but management is a completely different story. Rude, dismissive, and not honest about what they offer. Promises made at sign‑up were not upheld, and any attempt to get clarification or support is met with attitude instead of solutions. If this weren’t the only major gym option in the area, it would struggle to keep members. Cleanliness, equipment availability, and honest communication should be the bare minimum, yet this location consistently falls short. Until management takes responsibility and makes real improvements, the ratings will continue to drop and rightfully so.

For what it’s worth, this gym has a lot of potential. However, recent changes have made it harder to justify the $30 membership. Portions of the gym have been restricted to “classes only,” including the Gold’s Fit area — which was honestly one of the main reasons the membership felt worth it. That space is now often blocked off for a single trainer and client. Considering the gym is already limited in space and the equipment is somewhat outdated and worn, reducing accessible workout areas makes it even more difficult for members. There’s now very little open space for calisthenics or functional training. It feels like the only consistent option is using machines. I don’t understand the reasoning behind blocking large portions of the gym for one-on-one sessions. If anything, keeping the space open during classes might encourage other members to observe and potentially sign up. As for the staff, most are cordial and professional. However, there are a few who come across as entitled and unprofessional. I recently walked into the mirror room during peak hours — it was the only area not crowded. Apparently, someone was recording a video, and I may have missed a sign. Instead of a polite heads-up, I was met with a rude tone and attitude for interrupting. I’m a paying member like everyone else, and to my knowledge, there’s no additional fee required to access specific rooms. Overall, the gym has potential, but the recent changes and experiences are making me seriously consider switching gyms — even if the next closest option is over 30 minutes away.

Been a member for a couple years now. Theyve been having one leg extension machine for the past year or two and people are always waiting in line to use it. They need to purchase another one or two already. Its ridiculous

I’ve been going to this gym for abt three months, & unfortunately the experience has been underwhelming. Throughout the facility there are clear signs of deterioration, w there being a good amount of broken or faulty equipment to a very limited selection of machines/weights that is often unavailable. In all honestly, the overall condition of the gym has made it increasingly difficult to stay motivated to work out here. After reading other reviews, I agree with other sentiments that the facility has been gradually declining over time. Much of the equipment & infrastructure just feels outdated, & i think the gym would greatly benefit from a remodel. As it stands, the condition of the facility does not reflect what I, or others pay for. At absolute most, this would be an OK starter gym, but those who are intermediate to more advanced lifters, do yourself a favor & take your money elsewhere.

They don’t update their hours on the app when they decide to close. Equipment breaks and they don’t replace it. It’s really sad that Golds is not what it used to be
