being charged $45 for FMLA paperwork is wrong and greedy. We already take unpaid time off work to make it to all the appts. some come from an hour away. and you don't get paid full salary on FMLA. i have never been charged before and that price is ridiculous!

Worst phone manners. Being in victoria they dont help you in finding a doctor that fits and come across very pompous, when one really doesnt understand what is wrong.

NEVER ANSWER CALLS. NEW TO VICTORIA AND TRIED CALLING FOR MONTHS TO GET AN APPOINTMENT FINALLY GOT AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS SCHEDULED AT THE WRONG CLINIC! SAT IN THE OFFICE OVER 30MINS WHILE THE FRONT DESK LADIES HAD PERSONAL CONVERSATIONS AND DIDNT DO THEIR JOBS TO REALIZE SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR OVER 30MINS! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT RECOMMEND! WOULD RATHER DRIVE 1.5HRS TO MY OLD GYN.

They make you send and send and send documents over and over in order to be seen, they have the worst organized clinic ever! Do not recommend this one. They give you too much of a run around

I had a deeply traumatic experience under the care of Gus Zamora delivering my firstborn at Detar. I was induced against my will @41 weeks pregnant. I was begging and crying for him to not induce me because I was praying for a natural birth, but he grabbed me by the shoulders and told me if I didn’t sign the papers and get induced right then (Friday) that he was going to cut me open on Monday. (Mind you I was perfectly healthy, baby perfectly healthy. The ONLY REASON he had for inducing me was “this is routine for us” and “you’re just going to be happy to have your baby”) I wish I would have walked out. I was scared that he was going to cut me open out of spite for not wanting to be induced the day he wanted me to be. I have had PTSD ever since. I feel humiliated, violated, betrayed, disrespected, and disregarded. Among other things- the nurses rolling their eyes at me for begging to not get induced, the nurses threatening to get the vacuum if I didn’t push on their count downs, them forcing me to labor on my back while I’m begging to labor on my side, the anesthesiologist giving me 3 epidural attempts and leaving me with lasting lower back spasms. That was 9 months ago- I have had multiple panic attacks every single day since, lasting hours at a time each. I feel like my mind and body are ruined. During my pregnancy, he also failed to administer the RH shot, not realizing until after I had delivered my baby, seeing that baby’s blood is RH positive and my blood is RH negative; I now need to consult another doctor to determine if this neglect has caused sensitization, potentially impacting my future pregnancies. (He informed me of this while I was freshly postpartum and left it at that.) Also, despite clearly outlining my preferences in my birth plan, including a refusal of pain medication unless specifically requested, I was administered narcotics without my consent. I had to ask the anesthesiologist what had been injected, only to learn it was fentanyl—something I explicitly wanted to avoid because I have close family who have died due to it. Evermore, this experience has left me with daily struggles of PTSD and significant emotional and physical trauma. The complete disregard for my autonomy, preferences, and well-being during such a critical and vulnerable time was unacceptable. I am sharing my experience here in hopes of preventing others from enduring similar harm.
