  Save yourself a headache and money by going somewhere else!!!! Unfortunately in the whole big ole town of Tyler nobody takes my insurance for eye exams. So I had to go all the way to Longview just to get an eye exam that would be covered by my insurance. With that all done and out of the way I didn't want to drive back to Longview to pick up new glasses. I decided to go to eyemart Express here in Tyler because I have used their other locations and I've always had really good service. I should have just stayed away from this location!!! When I walked in there I was not greeted, I was just rudely asked do you have an appointment. No hello, no hi, no good afternoon nothing just rudeness. I should have just walked out then but I needed new glasses made because I'm blind. So the lady behind the counter tells me just look for some frames and they'll get with me as soon as possible. I know exactly what I want I know exactly what my budget is and I know exactly what my insurance is going to cover. I went in fully aware of how much money should be spent on a new pair of glasses. I need a picking a frame that fit well within my insurance budget. Then an employee came up to me asked me if I was ready to proceed and I told her yes I had the frames picked out. She led me to a table and I have no idea what her name is because she never introduced herself. Wasn't wearing a name tag I have no idea who she is except for the fact she was Hispanic and very rude. I'm asking questions and she seems annoyed because I'm asking questions. With that all said and done she rings everything up and tells me it's going to be $30 more than what my insurance covers. I question this because I know for a fact I was within my budget. Just a example my budget from my insurance for the frames alone was $105. I picked out frames for $50. I did not get any special type of lenses that would warrant extra cost. I did get scratch resistance but that is covered fully by my insurance. Just to be done with the situation I paid the $30 and I figured I will call my insurance and deal with it and get my money back that way. Well I called my insurance and explain to them the situation and they looked into my account. She asked me how much the total was and I gave her the total minus the $30 that I had to pay in cash while at the business. She then asked me if I could email over a copy of the receipt because the amount that this company sent in was roughly $200 more than what the actual receipt showed. So they are not only scamming customers out of money, they're also trying to scam insurance companies out of money!!!!!

  Customer service at the front desk is exceptional. You are not left waiting for long and they care about getting the glasses right for you!

  The perfect prescription experience! Came in and in less than 30min a very pleasant young lady helped find the right frame, measured for progressive bifocals and wrapped the payment. In less than an hour I received a text saying the new glasses were ready to pick up at my convenience. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

  The entire experience was awesome the workers are great this is my first time ever dealing with glasses I was completely confused and overwhelmed my foster child is 3 years old and they sent me over to look I was greeted talked to they helped find the frames she was able to pick a color she has not taken them off sense she is comfortable in them I was told it was going to be a struggle to keep them on her. they are her magical glasses. And the time that it took to have them finished was mind blowing! done in the same day they took my paperwork and I picked them up at 3pm I want to give a big thank you !!

  The optometrist right next door is great got me in within minutes of my set appointment time and new Rx in hand for contacts and eyeglasses within 30 minutes. Eye Eyemart Express also had very knowledgeable staff of what my insurance did and did not cover. I would say within 1 hour I had my appointment with the optometrist and ordered 1 year of contacts, and was able to purchase two frames only paying $50 copay at the optometrist and an extra $10 for the second pair of glasses. The optometrist also gave me a trial pair of contacts to wear out of the office for a 30 day trial before i buy. I have VSP through BCBS. would definitely recommend both locations. I will be going back to both yearly over where I used to go.(walmart)
