We have had a very unpleasant experience with this dental clinic, which we feel compelled to share—especially regarding our children’s visits, which were deeply disappointing because of the dentist’s meaning ,unfriendly and impatient ways to treat us .
First, the most concerning issue was the attitude of the female dentist and her assistant. In sharp contrast to the friendly and professional front desk staff, the dentist appeared impatient and unfriendly. When we asked additional questions due to language barriers or expressed different opinions about the proposed treatment, she showed clear frustration. On several occasions, after stating her position, she left the treatment room abruptly, without any excuse, leaving us alone and we had to continue communication only with her assistant.
Second, the clinic seemed unwilling to accept too much questions or discussion regarding the treatment plan. When we raised concerns about certain recommendations, the dentist’s assistant explicitly told us that if we were “looking for problems or mistakes ,” we should seek another provider. This approach lacks basic respect and leaves no room for meaningful communication. They ask if you’d like to choose a different clinic, but in reality, they can’t wait to kick you out as soon as possible.because they have prepared the referral letter for us before we visit.
Third, there were also concerning issues with the proposed treatment plan. Both of our daughters were evaluated at this clinic, and we were told that a total of approximately 14 teeth required treatment, including fillings and crowns. Even though we clearly stated that, despite having insurance coverage, we preferred a more conservative and phased approach—treating only part of the issues first and observing—the dentist refused, stating that it would be trouble for her.Our older daughter, who needs treatment for four teeth, was scheduled for two separate visits. However, our younger daughter, who was said to need treatment for twelve teeth, was recommended to complete all procedures in a single visit with General Anesthesia . For a six years old girl, 6 out of 12 teeth were baby teeth ,does they really need crowns? No clear and Persuasive explanation was provided for this discrepancy, which raises concerns about whether the treatment plan was influenced, at least in part, by insurance considerations rather than purely medical necessity.
As patients, we believe that parents have the right to participate in treatment decisions and engage in reasonable discussion. Even in the case of serious illnesses, doctors typically explain different treatment options and respect patient choice. Dental care should be no different. Questioning a treatment plan should not be treated as a challenge to professional competence. She said she has children of her own, but I didn't get the sense that she was able to put herself in another parent's shoes.
In addition, for patients whose first language is not English, the clinic does not provide any translation support. This creates significant communication barriers and may affect the patient’s ability to fully understand treatment options and associated risks.
Overall, the dentist’s level of professionalism and communication does not match the clinic’s Google ratings. The only positive aspect of our experience was the front desk staff, who were consistently friendly, patient. We will reserve the right to pursue this matter further, including filing a formal complaint with the appropriate regulatory authorities.

My family and I are fairly new in town and have found our regular family dentist with Restoration Smiles! 😊
Our son, who is 15 months old, was the first one to experience services from Restoration Smiles. It was his first dentist visit so he was a bit nervous, but everyone there made sure he was comfy and did their best to make it enjoyable. The entire staff was very kind and considerate!
I went for my first appointment couple days ago. Life has been really rough, so I haven’t gotten a dental cleaning for almost a year— so I was nervous and terrified. However, the staff once again, were very kind and non-judgemental (to my face at least). I also was informed about so many things about my teeth, it made me feel like I was included in the treatment plan. Shoutout to Ms. Shawn, Mr. Michael, and Dr. Mai for the great service!
I’m so happy we found our family dentist! Yay!
