- NNNOMADFeb 11, 20221.0The worst company ever to deal with. Their office ppl do absolutely nothing. The techs are great but Marissa in the front office does nothing at. She chooses to do the very least and just rather pass you off to someone else than actually help the patient. Brooke isn't worth it either. She does nothing. I've had paperwork for a modification going on for 5 months now and yet they still will do nothing to address it. Good luck talking to them or dealing with them. To your response. You can't get anyone to contact you back from this company. Medicaid has followed up with my claim on this as well. It also took them 2 weeks to ship a 22¢ bolt to put a part on my chair that was critical 3 hours away where the tech actually had to drive to get it. So I had to use my bed for a bathroom and bath due to this. I'm not sending you any information. I don't trust this company as far as I could throw it. If I could I'd have already sued this company for medical neglect. You don't treat your patients this way!!!!!! National seating is pathetic to the point even insurance decided to use another company bc we can't get the office to respond to emails or phone calls. This is the worst and most incompetent unprofessional company I've seen and it has NO BUSINESS BEING IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.

Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
