  I had such a wonderful experience at this office and really want to recognize the amazing staff. From the moment we walked in, the receptionist went above and beyond—she was incredibly kind and even helped hold my fussy baby while I filled out paperwork. That small act meant so much to me as a parent. My baby even had fun sitting behind the desk “helping” her, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and welcoming. The doctor’s assistant was also fantastic. She was so patient and gentle with my kids, especially when they were nervous about getting eye drops. She took her time and made sure they felt safe, which I truly appreciated. And the eye doctor himself was just as wonderful—very thorough, professional, and great with kids. He made them laugh and feel completely at ease during their exams. Overall, this was such a positive experience, and I’m so grateful for the kindness and care shown by everyone in the office. Highly recommend!

  I have been going to Texas Eye Institute for 30+ years and would never go anywhere else! Everyone from the front desk to the doctors and techs are professional and treat you with care and respect! They have saved my sight.

  I’ve been seeing Dr. Porter for years. I used to bring mother here to see him. He’s very professional a very thorough exam and explains things very well. The staff is kind and efficient.

  Don't waste your time with Texas Eye Institute. They were great up until time for surgery. At the last minute before my elderly father's surgery, after he was prepped for cataract surgery and laying down, they cancelled the surgery. Then to add insult to injury they referred him to an out of network doctor. He will now have to redo all the eye tests which takes place over at least two days at another location. I want my wasted time back.
