The phlebotomist who assisted me was cordial, but it became clear he was just doing as quick of a job as possible. Multiple bothersome observations: He didn't wash his hands before putting on gloves (I work in food service and even for food safety, I know how ridiculous it is to not wash hands before gloves: You are literally touching the outside of the gloves with your dirty hands when you put them on.)
Then, just before he stuck the needle in, he needed to cough; which he did directly in front of me and ONTO HIS GLOVED HAND.
Finally, when he removed the needle and put a cotton ball on the site, instead of putting a small piece of first aid tape, he WRAPPED THE TAPE AROUND MY ARM. Twice. When I took it off 15 min later, it literally ripped the hair off my arm.
I'm 8 months pregnant so when a health professional does unsanitary things, it doesn't only bother me for my health, but my baby's as well.
Unfortunately I do not know the name of my phlebotomist, but if Quest responds to this and cares to have a conversation with their employee, I'm happy to provide my full name & info so they could check who assisted me.
