  I attended a first trial class at the Club Pilates location in Richmond, TX, and I really appreciated how clean and well-maintained the facility was. The instructor was fine; however, the class felt rushed. In just 30 minutes, we were asked to use several different pieces of equipment, which resulted in spending more time changing equipment and positions than actually understanding the fundamentals of Pilates. After the class, I was initially ready to sign up, but I noticed several red flags in the membership policies. There is no option to pause a membership without paying a $35 “hold” fee, unless you pay for the full month. They do not offer month-to-month agreements, and the only accepted form of payment is a credit card, which must be kept on file. Cancellations require a 30-day notice. Additionally, if you need to cancel a class, you must provide at least 12 hours’ notice or you are charged for the class—an unrealistic expectation when emergencies don’t come with advance notice. Overall, while the studio itself is clean and appealing, the restrictive membership terms make the experience feel unnecessarily rigid for something that should be enjoyable and stress-free.

  Reformer Pilates is the best work out I’ve ever done, and has kept me consistently interested and challenged. I appreciate that Club Pilates follows classic techniques, but incorporates fun. Allee is THE best instructor I’ve found thus far. She really pays attention and adjusts form and incorporates direction to help you use the right muscle groups. She leads a tough class, but she is kind. I love her!

  I love Club Pilates at Telfair— especially Allee. She’s fantastic at helping you understand the poses & routines during her classes. And she provides one-on-one instruction if she sees you struggling or needing assistance. Highly recommend Allee at Club Pilates Telfair!

  I just completed 100 Pilates classes, and I couldn't be prouder! I've noticed such a difference in myself, and everyone around me has commented on it too. The classes are fantastic—easy to follow and incredibly effective. If you're considering it, just give it a try! You’ll definitely see the changes for yourself.
