I was referred by my neurologist to Quest Lab in Sherman, Texas. I tried calling the location to set up an appointment. I got a call center employee that walk-ins were welcome. I signed in at the kiosk and chose walk-in and after about an hour a woman came out and told everyone in waiting room that if you were a walk-in they would not be able to get to us today unless a scheduled appointment was a no show. They need to reconfigure the kiosk to appointment only and better inform the call center employees. I did still wait and did get my lab drawn. The onsite staff was very kind.
Quest inside Walmart Sherman, TX. I was private pay, used Ulta Labs. My, phlebotomists Harrison, was efficient, professional and friendly.

Thoroughly impressed with the phlebotomist on staff! The care and treatment they showed me was and is always exceptional! My only concern is there used to be front desk staff managing the appointments, greeting the clients, confirming insurance information, and taking payments. Now it appears the highly trained and educated phlebotomist are doing their jobs as well as the job and responsibilities that of customer service. I, as someone who has worked as management in customer service, find it deeply troubling that corporate management is expecting their staff to wear so many “hats”. It’s not only a sure fire way to lose good staff, it’s a Big RED Flag. It screams incompetency on the corporate/management level. Whoever “runs” this branch should either pay their current staff for doing their job as well the job of office manager, or quickly hire someone to fulfill that very important role.
