If I could give this place a zero, I would. I read the reviews beforehand, and many people mentioned that the office seems focused on making money and charging for everything. I completely agree. However, my biggest concern is how unapproachable they are.
If you try calling the office, don’t bother, your call goes to a third party scheduling service that has nothing to do with the clinic itself. They cannot answer any questions, and the only option they offer is to schedule another appointment (and pay again) just to ask something simple.
In my case, my daughter is farsighted. They told us her prescription had not changed. But when we picked up her glasses (from a different optical shop), she couldn’t see everything was blurry. The doctor had added astigmatism and an axis to her prescription, something she never had before and that was never mentioned to us during the visit.
I called to ask whether there was a mistake or to get a quick explanation, but the customer service team had no idea. They only schedule appointments, and it is impossible to speak with anyone from the actual office, not even a manager. Now I have to take another day off work, my daughter has to miss school, and we have to pay even more money for something that could have been resolved with a simple phone call. And if the prescription was incorrect, I will have to pay out of pocket for new glasses.
It is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this place at all.
While we were waiting in the room after the initial testing, two other parents were also complaining about how poorly trained the staff is when working with children. I agree. My daughter is around 10, so she managed fine, but younger kids were being treated like adults, even though it’s harder for them to stay still or read quickly. The staff seemed rushed and impatient, as if the priority was to move people through as fast as possible rather than provide good care.
They charge for absolutely everything, and they’ve created a system where even the simplest question requires you to drive over an hour in my case, and pay $$ just to speak to someone in person. It feels like no matter how many mistakes they make, they will just have you come back and charge you again.
