If I could give this place 0 stars, I would... The healthcare system is messed up, but this place is the worst I've experienced!
I attempted to get a hernia repair that was diagnosed in November of 2023. The physician advised me to wait for pre-existing procedure to be completed before I schedule the surgery.
Fast forward 4 months and upon having the other procedure completed, I waited 3+ weeks to see my physician to get the surgery scheduled, only to be told she was leaving and not scheduling anymore surgeries and she had to refer me to another physician... AND...I had to establish care with the new physician before they would schedule the procedure.
Another 3 weeks go by and I again take off work for the appointment only to be told I had to quite smoking before the procedure would be scheduled. Mind you, all of this information was in my history...my PCP is in the University system and the smoking had been previously noted multiple times... It wasn't even the physician I was scheduled with but an "assistant" that worked with her.
Why was my appointment not rescheduled when they knew the initial physician was leaving and didn't have any surgical dates left, and why did the second physician not review my chart and reach out about the smoking prior to ANOTHER office co-pay and missed time from work...
The nurses are very friendly and compassionate, but forget trying to communicate with anyone over the phone or via MyCHart...
