Very beautiful building, hard to identify as University Hospital as the only sign outside is for Bariatric. Would be helpful to have a sign in front identifying all of the specialty clinics inside.
The waiting area for this office is huge and very comfortable. A children's table for the kiddos to play and sit comfortably.
Friendly staff, easy to check in.
Would give 5 ⭐ but there needs to be more signs outside.
Frequently Asked Questions About Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) - University Health Huebner Specialties
Why did my child fail their newborn hearing screen and what does it mean?
This is common and often caused by temporary fluid in the middle ears after birth. Many infants clear the fluid on their own, so repeat testing (usually before 3 months of age) is recommended to confirm normal hearing.
Why does my child keep getting ear infections?
Recurrent ear infections are common in children because their eustachian tubes are immature and don’t drain fluid as well as in adults. As children grow, eustachian tube function usually improves and infections typically decrease.
Why might my child need ear tubes?
Ear tubes can help children who have repeated ear infections with fluid, fluid lasting longer than three months, or fluid that causes hearing loss. Tubes reduce fluid buildup and lower the frequency of infections.
I have been told my child has hearing loss. What are the next steps?
We first confirm the type and degree of hearing loss with appropriate tests (awake or sedated testing depending on age). After diagnosis we determine whether imaging or genetic testing is warranted and discuss rehabilitation options such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, or surgery as appropriate.
When should my child see a pediatric ENT specialist?
Ask for a referral to a pediatric ENT when your child has severe or frequent symptoms such as abnormal breathing, persistent ear/nose/throat pain, head or neck masses, new or worsening hearing issues, frequent nosebleeds, snoring, swallowing problems, or recurrent throat infections.
What kinds of treatments and procedures does your pediatric ENT team provide?
We offer comprehensive nonsurgical and surgical care including ear tube placement, foreign body removal, nasal endoscopy, sinus and airway procedures, adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy, hearing tests and audiology services, cochlear implant services, and specialized care for congenital head and neck lesions. Treatment plans are tailored to each child’s age, condition and development, starting with the least invasive options and moving to surgery only when necessary.
