- AEAdvenedizo ExtranjeroMar 20, 20261.0Consistently Bad Produce & Poor Customer Service I've been a loyal HEB customer, but I've reached my breaking point. Every single time I purchase avocados, mandarins, or lemons from this store, they go bad within two days way before their expected shelf life. I've thrown away so much money because of this ongoing issue. I finally decided to return the spoiled avocados I purchased on 3/3/26. The customer service representative was initially willing to help, but once she noticed the purchase date, she said "almost a month has passed." But it was not, just 10 days, but I didn’t returned before because I was busy. Also, I pointed out that HEB's return policy clearly states 30 days, and my purchase was within that window. She then told me it was "up to the manager's discretion" which is a convenient way to deny a valid return. The manager was called and refused to even offer a HEB gift card as a goodwill gesture. Nothing. No refund, no store credit, no accountability. If your produce consistently spoils in 2 days, that's a quality control problem not a customer problem. And if your return policy says 30 days but managers can override it at will, then that policy means nothing. I'll be taking my grocery shopping elsewhere until HEB takes product quality and customer satisfaction seriously.
