  Avoid this pharmacy at all costs! Extremely unreliable and incompetent service! I recently had the misfortune of dealing with the H-E-B Pharmacy at 281 & 1604 (18140 San Pedro Ave). My doctor's office sent over multiple prescriptions--basic, common medications that any decnet pharmacy should stock or handle quickly. Instead, I was told it would take 4 DAYS just to get them "from the warehouse". Four doays for everyday meds? That's ridiculous in 2026. I showed up exactly when they told me to pick them up, only to be informed that their ENTIRE SYSTEM WAS OFFLINE and completely down. THey were turning away 100% of their pharmacy customers--no exceptions, no workarounds, nothing. Staff seemed resigned to it, like this is somehow acceptable. Assuming their computers magically come back online the next day, it will have taken a total of 5 days from owhen my prescriptions were sent to actually getting my meds! Five days! People rely on these medications to live, manage chronic conditions, or simply function. This level of delay and unreliability is dangerous and unacceptable. The pharmacy at this location is a disaster--slow fulfillment, zero backup plans for "warehouse" supply issues, and apparently no contingency for system outages. I've used other H-E-B pharmacies and never experienced anything close to this incompetence. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere--Wallgreens, CVS, another H-E-B location, literally anywhere but this one!

  This HEB may be massive, but it seems to me there is alot of wasted managment direction ot is under. I finished shopping at about 1000 this morning. They had 1 single register open for people with more than 15 items. There was only 1 person checking out in the 10 items or less around 9 still open. I had about 20 items. There was a long line in the sole register open. I went to start scanning and a memebr came and said it was for 10 only. I explained the situation , she said she'd cancel my order. It took 2 more partners to tell me the same thing. They said they were gonna open register. Again 3 partners having to tell me this. I obliged and went to the lone register open. One of those partners then proceeded to pull others out of line, on purpose, to registers that weren't open yet and did not come my way. This was balantant poor customer service. How does this HEB only have 4 stars. I see why. I left without purchasung and went to the walmart across the highway. At least there i only have to worry about showing my recipt. This HEB does not have a self check for 25 itema or less like many others do. Nope. It takes 3 to man the 10 items or less isle. Poor managemnt and even poorer customer service. I see AI replacing thei jobs soon. At least a computer wont be vindictive and have more common sense.

  The staff here are amazing. They really explain everything to you and work with your date refills. They truly care about a person here. I cannot say the same for the other heb pharmacy up the road
