    This is a joke, i got 40 minutes to work out, they’re pushing the app, i have no time to update it there i could not go in because I don’t have the required info im paying monthly, i told them i can do it lataer that they they didnt work with me terrible customer service

    I have been a Gold's member for 18 years and joined for the excellent facilities and customer service plus the benefit of using a travel pass when I travel. I had consistently received great customer service at various locations across the US with no issues in verifying my membership until this morning at the Helotes location. The previous week I had checked in at the front desk and the employee called my home gym in Fairfax Station Virginia to verify my membership with no issues and he informed me I would just need to fill out the waiver form whichj I did and was able to use the gym. He was courteous and professional in all his dealings with me to include highlighting that they were improving the gym and if I needed to use the restroom where I could go while it was being remodeled. Upon my arrival today I discussed with the Gold's Team Member that I was traveling and had previously used the facilities at which point he stated that things have changed with the new year and I might not be eligible. To prove my membership I scanned my bar code that reflected my wife's name and I told him that we are on a family plan. He then asked if my home gym is a franchise at which point I informed him I was unaware but if he could call my home gym to verify. He stated why would I do that? He then told me I do not have a membership. I asked again if he could call my home gym and he said why should I do that. He said if I wanted to work out I would need to purchase a day pass. It is surprising the other employee was able to verify my membership less then 2 weeks ago plus the Gold's gym in Venice Beach LA was able to 3 weeks ago. In all my travels over the years I had never encountered such unprofessionalism and lack of customer service from a Gold's employee. This one encounter has me evaluating if I even want to be a member of Gold's gym.

    So… how many more months are we not going to have an indoor restroom? (Update: The outdoor/trailer bathroom in the parking lot is also out of service. So a large commercial gym with no men’s restroom. Nice.)

    We're in town because my dad's sister has stage 4 cancer. We are staying with family. When the front desk asked if we were a resident, they said we can't workout there. First time it happened, a manager was understanding and let us do the one day trial (we were planning on the one week $45 membership). Second time, we were gonna pay the daily $16 fee instead, but we were rejected AGAIN. Seriously, it's terrible... They don't even have a locker room or shower, AND the bathroom is either an outhouse or the next suite over, so it's not like the place anything to brag about! Save your money. The least they can do is make it up by not being snobs at the front desk - it's not hard to talk to people.

    Parking has become a joke. When did it become normal for people to drive in the opposite direction of traffic and park in the opposite direction the lanes were intended especially in handicap spaces ? If your claiming to be handicapped but somehow still powerlifting you need to be investigated for fraud .
