  I genuinely love pure barre. After my last baby I've gained a lot of weight and struggled to get it off. I made it a goal this year to start working through that and opted to join some local fitness outlets to help me. I will say that of all the ones I attend this location of pure barre has provided the most supportive and empowering experience on this journey. They encourage me to try my best and do what I can with what my body says feels right. When you feel like becoming more fit is an uphill battle this is exactly what you need to make the journey better. I also like to give a shout out to the instructor. Ashley. First off the way she instructs in her class feels like you are a part of a live workout video. She is amazing at her instruction. She also gives the class members each individual attention and somehow memorizes all of our names. If she notices your form off she will come to you and help you adjust to be safe. I highly recommend trying one of her classes. Literally everyone at this studio is so professional, kind and inclusive. I really love it here.

  I haven’t worked out in a year and I wanted to get back into some kind of physical activity. I do think this is one of the better workout studios in east Pearland. I initially thought this was some kind of dance or ballet studio, but this is more a mix of different types of workouts such as balance, strength, and cardio. I don’t think you need to be experienced in working out but it definitely helps if you know form and how to engage your the right muscles. The instructors will help you and encourage you but it’s always good to ask questions after class about form or what muscles should be engaged. I think align classes are less intense than the empower and classic so I recommend those if you aren’t too sure if you want to commit after taking the intro class. I really like Randa and Ashley’s classes. I think they give the best cues and instructions on form. There are some other decent instructors and a few instructors that are a bit too rushed but you’ll find what instructors you like. The classes are filled with a variety of women ranging in different activity levels and ages but overall it’s women who are just trying to show up and exercise. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a workout class to motivate you!
