At ACCESS, we provide services to children and adults living with mental illness. Living with a mental illness can seem to be an immovable obstacle to the person diagnosed, as well as to their family and friends. The change brought on by the illness might be slow or sudden and the destructive potential is always present. ACCESS is here to help facilitate recovery and provide support services to individuals and their loved ones. ACCESS does not exclude someone from treatment based on ability to pay. Services are delivered on the basis of consumer need, without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, age, physical handicap, medical disability, military status, citizenship status, sexual orientation, gender identity.
Most of the people there are helpful and friendly, but when speaking to their nurse, Sara, over the phone, she’s always a bit rude. I’ve left messages for her, when she returns my call she doesn’t leave a vm for me, when being transferred to her, it always goes to vm, once you’re able to speak with her, she has no clue what you’re calling for. I ask her if she got my voicemail, she stated she didn’t even listen to it, so I explained again what I needed. When asking for medical records to be emailed, she just said no, at the end of our conversation, I ask her why I wasn’t allowed to have that information, she then tells me I could come pick them up. Would have been so simple to tell me that from the beginning. The nurses before her never failed to leave a vm, and never seemed rude over the phone.

I been with them for years. I don't know what the deal is with how they manage the case managers but the one that they assigned me only comes into Palestine once a week and the rest of the days they are in Cherokee county. Palestine clients just get screwed. It's honestly down right sad to be honest.
