- LGL GarciaOct 26, 20214.0Would like to update my review . Wanted to let the public know that this group tried very hard to accommodate my mom's needs. Sometimes they hit a home run but sometimes it was disaster. Management tried very hard to respond. I have learned that this business is so difficult because it is so hard to hire good quality staff & the care remain consistent. I recommend that family must ALWAYS stay on top of everything that's going on and be sure to communicate with management regularly. I had contacted/interviewed other agencies but they were immediately & obviously sub par. In emergencies, HI was quick to try to find staff. But as I mentioned sometimes the staff was just not appropriate. I would say overall they did a good job. My mother lived in the home with me & so I was able to be thoroughly involved which was so critical for a loved one to have a contant/ ongoing advocate. When my mother passed, I was disappointed that I did not receive a card or any acknowledgment from HomeInstead about her passing tho we had worked closely together for around two years with many caregiving staff. Perhaps it is their policy... I would have understood if that is the case...
