Hi, I wanted to share feedback regarding the experience I had today at the pharmacy.
I had surgery today, 11/21, and went in around 11 AM to pick up the medications my doctor sent over on 10/30. At the pick-up window, I was told that only the tramadol was received, even though all prescriptions were sent at the same time. I called my doctor’s office, and they confirmed that they had transmitted all of them.
I called the pharmacy back at 3:33 PM and again was told only the tramadol had been received. When I questioned how that was possible, the person on the phone repeated—rather pointedly—that the medications were sent on 10/31. (I’m aware they were; the tramadol was sent the same day as the others.)
She then said the medications would be ready at 5:30. I had to ask what would be ready, since I had just been told they only had the tramadol. Her response was, “all the medications sent on 10/31,” which was confusing given the previous statements. When I thanked her, she replied with “mhmm,” which came across as dismissive.
Overall, the interaction felt rude and unprofessional, almost as if I was being reprimanded for not picking the prescriptions up within 10 days, even though my surgery was today and that’s when I needed them. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes it helps improve future customer service experiences.

Seven employees working behind the counter and having a great time chatting with each other, but they can only help one customer in the last 8 minutes—and they can’t find his stuff. This is typical of this location. Not sure where the pharmacist went to school, but I assume it was online.

HEB LAKEWAY PHARMACY is awful. Unprofessional. No parking. Not enough staff. SLOW EVERY TIME. Will not contact physician for refills, although they say they will.
I have a sinus infection. It's terrible and painful. The script was called in on Thursday and was filled on Saturday. The pharmacists do not care about patients pain, infection getting worse or even to communicate that maybe you should get it filled somewhere else because they are so busy.
I had a script for another drug in July that is rare. I understood that my co pay was over $1000. They said, they don't know this drug. They can't fill this drug. Call the pharmaceutical company to see if they know where to buy it. Aren’t they suppose to source it? This is heart medicine. And, this is the care HEB LAKEWAY PHARMACY PROVIDES. No care.
Also, the HEB app is awful. Especially for the pharmacy. There is no search option. It needs major upgrades. Plus, they are supposed to text or email the person once the script is filled. That does NOT always happen.

Used to use the Westlake HEB pharmacy and the difference is night and day. The HEB Pharmacy in Lakeway is a miserable experience each and every time I go there. They give incomplete medications and poor instructions. They also move really slowly and the counter people act brand new. I’ll be 100% taking my business elsewhere.

I love HEB, but this pharmacy is way, way to understaffed to handle customer service properly. They often tell me how understaffed and overworked they are and this is the reason for the mistakes that are being made. As a customer, i should never hear that from an employee. This also shows In their attitudes. I expect more from my HEB. Please hire the pharmacy some help!
