  I am extremely disappointed with my experience at CLS in La Porte. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Turner, and while I don’t believe the doctor is the issue, the office staff has made this process incredibly frustrating. I have been waiting over a month for a prior authorization to be submitted to my insurance company. It took multiple phone calls and complaints just to get the authorization started, which alone took more than three weeks. The medical assistant, Corna, has been very difficult to reach and has not returned numerous phone calls regarding this matter. After I finally escalated the issue and had another facility contact the office, the authorization was eventually submitted — but it was submitted incorrectly. For the past two additional weeks, I have continued calling simply to have the wording corrected so my insurance company can approve the medication. Again, I have received no return calls and no resolution. Because of these delays and the lack of communication, I have been unable to start a medication that I need to manage my blood sugar levels. This is not just an inconvenience — it directly affects my health. The lack of urgency, communication, and follow-through from the staff has been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will be looking for another provider. Patients deserve better when it comes to something as important as their healthcare.

  My overall experience was wonderful. I am a breastfeeding mom so upon my arrival I asked for a room to pump and they gave me a room to be able to do what I needed to do. I filled out paperwork as a new patient and it didn’t take them long to call me to the back. I was seen my Terry Newman and she was great! I went in for a yearly wellness checkup and Dr. Newman took really great care of me! She did a fall panel to make sure that everything was normal. Her office assistant called me immediately after the results were in and gave me advice on how to proceed with how to move forward with making sure I keep my health in check. I recommend CLS health to anyone looking for quality care, cleanliness, and welcoming environment.
